You're reading issue #34 of The Slice. If you missed last weeks issue, check it out here.
Once again, hello and happy Thursday. You guys seem to really dig the art from last week, so I thought I'd share the matching version of last weeks.
Recently started to take up jump rope to get a bit of exercise and it turns out that I really like it. It puts me in a state of flow that helps me take my mind of things and puts me totally in the present moment (which I speak more about below).
Also made a new web page of "stuff to buy". This is just a little affiliate page of info products and tools which I think are worth every penny and I use personally. I'll be adding more in the future! |

Recently came across Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's concept of flow, which is the state of total focus and joy. This can be summed as the feeling one experiences in a particular activity.
Think of mountain climbers or ballet dancers. It's the feeling of absolute focus at peak performance, which leads them be in a state of flow.
Here is a video of a free climber (a mountain climber that uses no ropes) overtaking other normal climbers that literally made hands sweat while watching it, but it also shows this concept of flow and focus in a present moment.
I think its important to understand Mihalyi's concept of flow, because it can give us a better understanding of how we can also attain this state of flow for our own productivity.
