ISSUE #013 | View in browser

From the curator👨‍💻

What's up, Nic here and this is issue #013 of The Slice.✌️If you missed last week's issue, you can catch it here

Just an update about the future of The Slice. In the coming weeks, I'll be adding a classified section at the bottom of each issue in the form of affordable non-invasive ads, but don't worry, they won't take away from the reading experience, instead I wish to make them part of the overall experience, which is something that a lot of newsletters don't quite get right.

I'm still working on adding a proper system, but in the meantime, if you're interested in having your product in front of a highly engaged audience of 700+ readers (and growing), send me an email here

Before we get into this week's issue, just a little reminder👇

I'd love for you to maybe forward this issue of The Slice to anyone you know that might enjoy reading it, or if you'd like you can buy me at coffee here ☕

If you're just finding this newsletter now and you enjoy it, you can subscribe with this massive button thingy here.

This week's catches🎣
Here are some SaaS products, apps and extensions that I discovered this week.

MagicPattern offers a one-click web editor for illustration patterns, perfect for branding landing pages, social media posts and featured images.

Dropbase helps you bring offline files (CSV, Excel, and JSON) files into a live database. Process and clean up data using a spreadsheet interface or by writing custom code.

Email2go is an email service that helps you create email templates and test them on dozens physical devices and applications.

ithinki is a simple user feedback tool to consolidate and manage public & private feedback for your project. It also allows for users to upvote and comment on existing feedback.

Habitate lets you create an interactive discussion space where your customers can join, browse discussions, share their ideas and opinions, ask questions, and take help from each other.

Short is a personalized link shortener that gives you the freedom of creating your own brandable links for your marketing campaigns.

My picks of dope newsletters and communities for this week.
This week I wanted to show off some mainstream and popular newsletters that I literally "insta-click" when the notification comes up. I definitely recommend everyone read these, they will quite literally make you a smarter hooman!🐶

The Browser - This newsletter finds and sources some of the best reading material on the internet. If you're a literature  geek, this is for you! -  This newsletter is a collection of market research, for different upcoming trends every week. Think 50+ hours research, in 5 minutes. All done by Dru Riley.

Find That Pod - This is a podcast discovery newsletter that sends you 5 new podcasts to listen to every week. I'm a big podcast fan and it gets really tedious trying to find a new podcast to listen to, so this is a life saver.

Podcast of the week🎙️

I listen to a lot of podcasts, and I choose one or two with the most value for my audience.
This week's podcast(s) of the week goes to Tiny leaps, Big Changes where Gregg Clunis talks about the two requirements to change your life. Listen here

Blog posts/Articles 📚

There is a lot of crap on the internet, so I rifle through it and pick a out gem or two that I found this week.
Secrets About People by Alex Danco - "René Girard has always had a bit of an underground cult following in Silicon Valley, partly by proximity due to his appointment as a Stanford professor."  Read more

My Biggest Mistake by Hiten Shah - "There were so many times when I thought about giving up during the early days. Over and over again, I felt like we were doing it all wrong." Read More
Knowledge base/Resources 💡
Resources and knowledge that helps you grow and get smarter.
Techstars Entrepreneur Toolkit - This is an online educational resource to help you learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and accelerate your success.

Brand Books and Style Guides - Here is a collection of different style guides and brand books would be of some value.
That's all for this week, I'll be back next week, same time, same place!
